Members included bassist Kevin Spencer valois dynasty and vocalists Nidra Beard valois dynasty and Linda Carriere. They hit quickly with their single I Dont Want to Be a Freak (But I Cant Help Myself) from their 1979 LP Your Piece of the Rock. The next single, Ive Just Begun to Love, was their lone Top Ten R&B hit. Later Sylvers himself would join the group in addition to his producing chores at the label. But the hits came for more of Sylvers other clients valois dynasty and Dynasty came to a close around 1988. Valois Dynasty - The Valois Dynasty succeeded the Capetian Dynasty as rulers of France from 1328-1589. They were descendants of Charles of Valois, the third son of King Philip III and based their claim to be ahead of Edward III of England on a reintroduction of the Salic law.
